OUR TEAM

Karla Dorsch is the Founder and Managing Director of Evrima. She has a broad level of expertise achieved over 25 years of experience in executive search. Ms. Dorsch and her team have worked extensively with a broad range of clients throughout EMEA including sovereign wealth funds, governmental agencies, banks, private equity firms, corporates, family conglomerates and start-ups. Evrima has a significant reputation as a firm that understands the nuances of the local landscape with a strong track record of success.

Before establishing Evrima, Ms. Dorsch began her executive search career at Korn Ferry in London and then worked for two prominent international search organisations. Prior to executive search, her first post-MBA position was at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She then worked at Merrill Lynch in Private Wealth Management. Ms. Dorsch holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of business, a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. She is currently studying for an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience.

Ms. Dorsch is a member of the International Woman’s Forum and has sat on various non-profit boards in the UK.

James Bridgman is a Partner and is based in Dubai.

Mr. Bridgman has over 25 years of global financial services search experience gained from living and working in financial hubs – London, New York, Qatar, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai.  His expertise lies in developing and executing innovative strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent across leading financial services platforms.

Mr. Bridgman has a deep understanding of diverse markets and cultures, assisting him to implement customized search campaigns and forge trusted relationships with both internal stakeholders and external networks to ensure the sourcing and engagement of the best talent.  Upon returning to the Middle East Mr. Bridgman founded a business development, project management and talent growth company based in the UAE. Focal sectors include, International Sports, Infrastructure, Energy, Fintech and Alternative Investments.  During his career Mr. Bridgman has also established numerous successful Search practices Internationally, earning him recognition by AsiaMoney as one of the Asia’s leading Head-Hunters in Private Equity / Venture Capital.

He is an AoEC accredited Executive Coach. Leveraging this training, he works with industry leaders and their teams, providing guidance in leadership development and mentoring.

Michelle Bond is Research Manager for Evrima.  She has over 20 years’ experience of international executive search and talent acquisition, predominately managing senior search mandates. Ms Bond has worked in a wide range of industries, developing a significant network of talented people.

Ms. Bond has run her own research business for over 17 years, working as an extension to Executive Search firms, managing the end-to-end search process. Her focus has been top leadership roles for early-stage VC backed start-ups to PE owned business and publicly quoted companies.  Her track record has been CxO, VP and Director roles based anywhere in the EMEA. Working with technology driven companies as they scale in Europe, whether in the UK or mainland Europe.

 

Ms. Bond has become a trusted resource managing critical and complex assignments and delivering the best candidates in a market, contributing to her solid reputation with Evrima Global. Michelle graduated with honours from Southampton University.

  • The Client

Our client was a major top-tier global asset management and private banking organization. They are headquartered in Europe, have roughly $200 billion in assets under management, more than 2,500 staff, and serve a global client base.

  • The Project

Our client had little visibility in the Middle East, despite the huge upside fundraising potential that the region represented, with its plethora of sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and family offices, particularly in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.

The requirement was for a ME-based diversity hire who had an outstanding reputation in the market, an established in-region client base, and was comfortable with selling to a discerning group of investor clients, both new and established.
